A LETTER FROM BEKA
I SEE YOU…
You wonderfully “normal” people who may be feeling not so normal in the quiet of your mind, late at night, when you lay your head on the pillow, wondering yet again “How did I get here?” Maybe you’re a mom who loves your life and kids but find yourself feeling really lonely and sad most of the time. Maybe you’re a spouse feeling lost and scared about the state of your relationship and having no clue how you went from the love and excitement that brought you together to this place of monotonous routine with no connection or passion. Maybe you have a loved one who is struggling with addiction and you find your entire world has become consumed with managing their world, and if they’re going to be ok, or if the next shoe is about to drop at any second. Or maybe….. you’re just simply not satisfied with where your life is and you find yourself often thinking “there has got to be more to life than this.”
Does any of that sound familiar? If it does, I want you to know that you are perfectly NORMAL and that most of us find ourselves there at some point or another. It doesn’t make you crazy or messed up or weak… it simply means you’re 100% HUMAN. And guess what… being an imperfect human, in all your flawed glory, is actually what makes you freaking awesome, not defective or somehow not good enough. And for those of you with that constant, never-ending tape running in your head that’s telling you to push harder, get it together, you “should be able to handle this on your own…,” I can definitely see you, because I am you. I struggle with the same voice. You’re not alone in this fight, and you certainly don’t have to figure out this thing we call life all by yourself.
I see you. I’ve been you. I want to help you.
Let’s talk…
